I met Emma the first time in her apartment, and to be honest I was a little bit nervous, she (maybe) could be my first client here in Chile and overall, I didn’t know if I was able to speak again in French!
She received me like an old friend; speaking with her has been much easier than I expected! We discussed about her life, the experience in Chile, the pregnancy, her husband. All that I need to know to better understand who I’m going to work with.
Discussing about the shooting she told me she didn’t want posed pictures, but something more natural maybe outside.. so we decided to split the shooting in different moments to have a sort of “day-in-your-life” session: beginning with a coffee at their favorite place in Vitacura and ending with some photos in the center at Cerro Santa Lucia because they loved the contrast between the green of the hill and the urban environment of Santiago.
It’s always a precious moment when I meet the clients. I bound with them very quickly and for my job I need to feel closed to them because my pictures have to be the mirror of their life.
I really hope they will look at the pictures with lovely smiles even in 10 years! Those moments are unique especially when something “big”, as a first child, is coming.
I wish to Emma and Alex all the best for them and the little girl, who is really lucky to have those two as mum and dad, and I can tell that the name they chose for her (I don’t know if I can reveal it) it’s one of my favorite!! Well done!
Thank you for trusting me and for giving me the chance to be part of your life!
With Love, Giulia
