Last weekend I had the pleasure to spend some hours together with Sofia and her amazing Family.
Sofia and Nicola come from Rome, and they arrived in Copenhagen 4 years ago with their beautiful girls, Vittoria and Frida.
When I got in their house I’ve immediately felt a warm atmosphere: the girls were playing with the big cats, Roberto (Bob) and Marcello, absolutely feeling comfortable with my camera, the music was surrounding us together with the chocolate cake’s smell; Nicola was trying to wake himself up with a good coffee and Sofia was preparing a sweet breakfast on the table. A perfect frame for a session “A Day in Your Life”.
During the morning Vittoria asked to the mother when they could open the gifts… “Oh! is it your birthday?”- I asked “No, we celebrate the first year of Bob and Marcellone!” ” The cats?!” …
Oh yes, they wanted to celebrate the first year of their cats!
After few minutes 2 cat’s food bags were opened (the smell was terrible…), 2 candles lighted and in a while we were all singing Happy Birthday to the most huge and cool cats I’ve ever met! It has been surreal and funny at the same time!
Bob and Big Marcello were definitely the stars of the day!
During the rest of the morning the girls backed biscuits with Mamma Sofia and played in their beautiful room. I loved the mix of the vintage furnitures coming from their Italian grandma’s house and what they found in some old stuff shops which are typical of Copenhagen.
What I also really loved was the harmony you could breath inside their Home. Everything had its place, nothing was put or hanged without a reason.
The Music is the big passion of this family, besides the cats. Sofia and Nicola are both Music Supervisors, one essentially for the TV and the other for the SUNDANCE – The Scandinavian Music Company – so thousands of vinyls were around me!
I have to say that this family really surprised me…What a special morning I spent with them!
