Few weeks ago my Italian friends Marinella and Francesca asked me to teach them how to cook “PASSATELLI”.
Of course I said -YES!-
They have a very interesting food blog www.madanddelicacy.com where they post every week nice recipes quick to prepare, using good ingredients easy to find here in Denmark.
“Passatelli” is a typical dish of the region of my family, Emilia-Romagna (Center of Italy, East Cost).
I’m very affectionate to this recipe because it reminds me when I was a little girl watching my grandmother (she is now 93 years old!) preparing fresh pasta on her huge wooden board. She thought me all the secrets of her kitchen and it was a special moment where she was telling me her stories about the life during the war, how she met my grandfather and how is important to know cooking to be appreciated by a man (this is very tipical “italian style”… a very strong feeling owned by previous generations, but I have to tell that.. it works! )
“Passatelli” it’s easy to prepare even if the broth takes time, so if you decide to follow the recipe start to cook the day before.
You need few ingredients to prepare it, inexpensive and easy to buy, and it really heats up during this danish looooooong winter.
If you have the time please have a look to my friends web site (https://madanddelicacy.wordpress.com), I’m pretty sure you will enjoy my “passatelli” and also all the other Italian recipes.
ENJOY!
